Davis, Wilma Lane - Houlka Wilma Lane Peden Davis, 78, passed away January 10, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born January 19, 1938 in Chickasaw County to Joe Hugh Peden and Grace Ruthell Austin Paden. Mrs. Davis was a wonderful pianist who enjoyed playing at Houlka First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Wilma Lane was the former office Manager at Astro Lounger Furniture. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10:30AM. At Houlka First Baptist Church with Bro. David Blackwell officiating.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Burial will be at Holladay Cemetery in Houlka, MS.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Thomas Tommy L. Davis Jr. of Houlka, her daughter, Lisa (Clay) Clayton of Okolona, her daughter- in- law Tammy Davis of Okolona, her sister, Thelma Ann (Travis) Davis of Houlka, two brothers, Walter Stewart Paden of Houlka, and Raymond Austin (Cathy) Paden of Houlka, her grandchildren, Leslie (Patrick) Ridgeway, Jacob ( Rachel) Washington, Hunter (Lauren) Davis, Tyler Davis, Davis Clayton, and Grace Clayton and her great- greatgrandchildren, Frances Hollingsworth and Knox Washington.
Wilma Lane Davis is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Thomas Lynn Davis and her brothers, Hugh Stanley Paden and Robert Earl Peden and her sister, Josephine Higginbotham who also passed away on January 10, 2017 in Fulton, MS.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Washington, Hunter Davis, Tyler Davis, Davis Clayton, Danny Chapman, Jess Davis, Robbie Peden, Mike Paden, Josh Paden and Vic Davis.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. 7:00 P.M. at Houlka First Baptist Church.
