Eaton, Walter Lee - Walter Lee Buddy Eaton
Houston Buddy Eaton 70, passed away Monday, May 9th, 2016, at his home in Houston, MS. He was born November 23, 1945, in Chickasaw County to Lonnie Eaton and Arlita Mixon Eaton Brooks. He was one of the original members of the Sparta Ramblers and Co-Founder and President of the Board of Sparta Opera. Buddy trusted Jesus as his Savior when he was baptized at a Brush Arbor meeting sponsored by the Amity Church of God. Buddy was a very active member of the Sparta Opry and many community activities.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Amity Baptist Church in Sparta, Mississippi with Rev. J. R Eaton, Rev. Roy Gene Brooks, Rev. Scott Griffin and Rev. Steve Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Amity Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Nan Eastman Eaton, daughter, Valerie (Grant) Lancaster of Houston, sisters; Claudia (Robert) Huffman, of Woodland, Laura Gann of Houston, Betty Durham of Houston, Louise Bingham of Phebe, step-sons, Patrick (Lori) Orr of Hahira, GA , Butch (Laura) Orr of Golden, MS ,Andy (Rhonda) Orr of Olive Branch, MS. Nine grandchildren; Parker Lee Lancaster, Sadie Rose Orr, Houston Orr, Ethan Orr, Cameron Orr, Jackson Orr, Ben Orr, Elizabeth Mosley and Adam Orr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Beula Lou Scaife, Thelma Henderson, and Odie Morgan; three brothers; Floyd Eaton, Lloyd Eaton, and Billy Rae Eaton.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 14th, 2016, from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Houston Funeral Home.
