Virginia Skelton

Mantee- Virginia Adeline Sykes Skelton, 96, passed away April 1, 2018, at Webster Co. Hospital in Eupora, Mississippi. Mrs. Skelton was born on September 23, 1921 in Clarksville, Tennessee to James Sidney Sykes and Bessie Saline Orton Sykes.

Mrs. Skelton was a special education teacher for Houston Public Schools, and a member of Mantee Baptist Church in Mantee, Mississippi.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Mantee Baptist Church in Mantee, Mississippi with Bro. Ken Hester officiating.

Burial will be at in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mantee, Mississippi.

Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughters, Marie (Max) Johnson of Mantee, Mississippi, and Lin (Lee) Bagwell of Eupora, Mississippi, her grandchildren, Van Hardin, Anne Marie Miller, and Matt Hardin, her great-grandchildren, Neal Sanders, Alex- Anne Silver, Austin Hardin, Will Hardin, John Wesley Hardin, and Maggie Hardin, and her great-great grandchildren, Paytan Sanders, Boston Sanders, Griffin Sanders, and Easton Silver.

Virginia Skelton is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, William Austin Skelton, Jr.

Visitation will be Friday, April 6, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Mantee Baptist Church.
