Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Houston. Survivors include his wife, Janalee Slaughter of Meridian; children, Bonnie Slaughter-Acosta and her husband Dr. Scott Acosta; Ronnie Slaughter and his wife Andrea, Brenda McMullen and her husband Sonny, Linda Slaughter, Glenda Brown and her husband Mike, Georgia Chaney and her husband Barry, Robbie Slaughter and his wife Cindy, Ricky Slaughter and his wife Mandy, Rebecca Harris and her husband Jason, Barbara Ridley and her husband Rodney, Russell Slaughter and his wife Sabrina; thirty-eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Vance, Paulette Camp, Sherron Murphree and her husband Bill; sister-in-law, Sheila Slaughter; niece, Joyce Ann Camp; nephews, John Camp, Jr., Billy Wayne Vance, Jr., Robert Linn Murphree, and Tabb Murphree.
