Troy Hinton

Houlka- Troy Ray Hinton, 73, passed away on October 16, 2021, as the result of an Automobile accident in Pontotoc County, MS. Mr. Hinton was born on November 14, 1947, in Chickasaw County, MS to William Ray Hinton and Ethel Clark Hinton. He was a retired oil field worker and a member of Houlka First Baptist Church. Mr. Hinton also enjoyed working on lawn mowers in his spare time. Mr. Hinton was a United States Army Veteran, where he served in the Korean Conflict.

Funeral services for Mr. Hinton will be Monday, October 18, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Houlka First Baptist Church with Bro. David Blackwell and Bro. Aaron Myhand officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, October 18, 2021, at Houlka First Baptist Church from 12:00 P.M. until service time, at 1:00 P.M.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Houlka, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Jason Crump, Jeff Crump, Bobby Ray Hinton, Garrison Myhand, Justin Murphree, Jacob Crump, Garrett Crump, and Brentley Stephens.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brady Murphree and D.L. Winter

Mr. Hinton is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ethel Clark Hinton of Houlka; his sisters, Gladys Johnson of Montgomery, AL., Brenda (Keith) Crump of Belden, MS., and Sandra Murphree of Houlka, MS.; his brother, Bobby (Martha) Hinton of Houlka, MS.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hinton is preceded in death by his father, William Ray Hinton; his brothers-in-law, Larry Murphree and Royce Johnson and numerous aunts and uncles.
