Tommy Clyde Berry was born in Houston, MS to the late Clyde "Shifty" Berry and Natalie Marie Scruggs Berry.
He peacefully passed away on April 6, 2026 at The Blake @ Township in Ridgeland, MS.
Tommy was a cherished son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend.
He was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and ride dirt bikes as a young man.
He graduated from Houston High School in 1964. He went to Mississippi State and Delta State and received a degree in Education. He worked as a Forest Ranger in his beloved game area in Chickasaw County. He often ministered to the inmates at the Chickasaw County Jail.
He moved to Cordova, TN and was employed at FedEx as an airplane mechanic until his retirement. He was a member of Belevue Baptist Church in Cordova, TN and loved his Lord.
He is survived by his sister Susan Berry Pepper (Gregg) of Madison; Special cousins Debbie Tollison (Myron) of Hernando and Allyson Anglin Leitner (Lee) of Guntown; Nephew Brian Pepper (Danielle) of Madison; Niece Kelli Pepper( Monica Uribe) of Chicago, IL; Great Niece Olivia Pepper of Madison; Great Nephew Jude Pepper of Madison; Special Cousins Allie Wallis (Ben), Slater, Neely and Cy Wallis of Baldwyn, Tyler Phillips of Tupelo and Special friend Lynn Gallagher of Cordova, TN.
Pallbearers will include Gregg Pepper, Brian Pepper, Lee Leitner, Mike Jones, Pat Jones and Donnie Watson.
All are welcome to attend the Visitation that will be at Houston Funeral Home Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. followed by a Graveside service at 11 AM at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens with Pastor Scott Crawford officiating and Soloist Gayle Morris Robinson.
