Thomas Eli Smith, age 74, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center on June 17, 2024. Eli was born November 15, 1949 to Henry Frank and Polly Smith in Houston, MS. He was a member of Macedonia Church and work as an auto body mechanic for Frank Smith until he retired. Eli loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his grands and great grands. When Eli wasn't spending time spoiling his grands and great grands, you could find him in the woods hunting.

A Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Macedonia Church at 2:00 PM with Bro. Steve Lampkin and Bro. Keith Carter officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home is honored to serve the Smith family.

Pallbearers will be Eric Smith, David Smith, Shane Booth, Doyle Booth, Jr, Damion Haig, Mykkie Smith, Jonah Jackson, Keith Sanderson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Smith, Ricky Makamson, James Stone, Billy Watkins, Tommy Criddle, and Thomas Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann Smith; his son, Chris Smith; his grandchildren, Mykkie (Shana) Smith, Megan Nabors, Ashley Nabors; his great-grandchildren, Damion Haig, Gabriella Haig, Ryan Garrett Smith and Olivia Kate Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Eli was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Frank and Polly Smith; and his daughter and son in law, Lynn and Clay Nabors.
