Baird, Thomas - Thomas Ivy Baird, 73, died Saturday, July 12, 2014, at his home in Houston.
He was November 4, 1940, in Houston to Ivy Walker Baird and Nora Estelle McKinney Baird. He was a twenty year US Air Force Veteran, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Houston.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Houston with Rev. Daniel Heeringa officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his sons, Lee Baird (Helen) of Columbia, SC, Gene Baird (Denise) of Melbourne, AR; his sister, Sue Pemper (Frank) of Houston; his grandchildren, Erin Lee Baird Holley of Sumter, SC, Mary Lorraine Baird House of Lexington, SC, Kathleen Katy Baird Gillihan of Searcy, AR, Derek Baird, Kristin Baird, Kari Baird, and Kelsey Baird all of Melbourne, AR; his great-grandchildren, Joey Holley and Andrew Holley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Gann Baird on May 29, 2010, and his parents.
Pallbearers are Ricky Duncan, Jason Davis, Keith Baird, Lamar Beaty, Glenn Gann, Bobbie Gann.
Honorary pallbearers are Hubert Gann and William F. Gann.
Visitation will be Monday, July 14, from 5 until 7 PM at Houston Funeral Home.
