Allen, Thelma - Houston- Thelma Earnestine Coleman Allen, 85, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Floy Dyer Nursing Home in Houston, Mississippi. She was born December 12, 1931 in Lafayette County, Mississippi to Toy Dudley Coleman and Lula Mae Coleman. Mrs. Allen was a retired pressor at Indian Creek Manufacturing Company and a member of Faith Outreach Church in Okolona, MS. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Houston Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie King and Rev. Alva Ray McCorkle officiating.
Burial will be at Concord Cemetery in Houston, MS.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra (Carl) Johnson of Forest, MS. One Sister, Ruby (Louis) King of Houston, MS, two brothers, Toy (Charlene) Coleman Jr. of McCondy, MS, and Wayne (Elaine) Coleman of Houlka, MS, one brother-in-law, Rev. Alva Ray (Sandra) McCorkle of Moss Point, MS, and two grandchildren, Chad (Christy) Ingram of Wiggins, MS, and Kimberly Ingram of San Antonio, TX., and five great-grandchildren.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Allen, three sisters, Ruth Criddle, Betty Sanderson, and Emma Kennedy, two brothers, John Reid Coleman and Elmer Coleman, and one grandchild, Melissa Johnson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. 2:00 P.M. at Houston Funeral Home.
