Bray, Sybil - Houston Sybil Kennedy Bray, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at North MS Medical Center Hospice Unit in Tupelo.
She was born January 30, 1923, in Smithville to Charley Jackson Kennedy and Minnie Jane Ford Kennedy. She was a homemaker, sewed for the public, and worked for the Christian book store. She was a member of Faith Bible Church.
The funeral service will be Friday, January 16, 2015, at 1:00 pm at Houston Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Rinehart and Rev. Johnny Cherry officiating. Burial will follow at Houston Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann (Sammy) Baker of Falkner, MS; her son, Eric (Angela) Bray of Houston; her grandchildren, Erika Leigh Bray, Carol Beth Bray, Christy Whitehead, Ruble Baker, Jane Ferguson, Debbie Hodges, Lynn Terry, Max Bray, Berle Bray; her brother, Charles Houston (TC) Kennedy of Pensacola, FL; and a host of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Curtis Bray, and her sons, Max Bray and Gene Bray.
Pallbearers are John T. Martin, Lane Brandon, Brad Smith, Sammy Lovvorn, Drew Myatt, Shawn Carter. Honorary pallbearers are Bro. John Hudson and Chris Smith.
Visitation is Thursday, January 15, 2015, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Houston Funeral Home.
