Stokes, Susan Woodruff - of Wetumpka Alabama, formerly of Houston, MS Susan Lynn Woodruff Stokes, 54, died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. She was born October 17, 1958, in Gadsden, Alabama to John Robert Woodruff and Jaynell Kimble Woodruff. She was a homemaker.
Services are Sunday, May 12, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Mathis officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Jon H. Stokes of Wetumpka, AL; her father, John Robert and Sara Woodruff of Houston; her sons, Brian Nathan Stokes of Birmingham, AL, Scott Wesley Stokes of Wetumpka, AL; her grandchildren, Janna Marie Stokes and Nathaniel Grant Stokes; her sisters, Deborah and Tony McCombs of Columbus, Cindy and James Watkins of Union City, TN; and her brother, David and Melissa Woodruff of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jaynell Kimble Woodruff.
Pallbearers are Conway Nichols, Steve Pate, Ernie White, Brad Woodruff, Patrick McCombs, Frank Woodruff.
Visitation is 1:00 PM until the 3:00 PM service time at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
