Wright, Sarah - Mantee- Sarah Lou Griffin Wright, 92, passed away October 2, 2017, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Mrs. Wright was born on May 18, 1925 in Webster County, MS to Henry Watson Griffin and Bessie Emma Davis. Mrs. Wright enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and working in her store, The Novelty Shop . She was one of the oldest members of Mantee Baptist Church, and a longtime member of the WMU.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Mantee Baptist Church with Bro. William Carpenter officiating.
Burial will be at Crossroads Cemetery in Webster County, MS.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Danny (Barbara) Wright of Tupelo, MS., her daughter-in-law, Pam Wright Cook of Houston, MS., her grandchildren, Rozilyn (Bruce) King, Genifer (Tripp) Odom, and Tyler (Andrea) Wright., and her great-grandchildren, Eric and Sara King, Cole Odom, and Keeley and Reagan Wright.
Sarah Wright is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herman Wright, her son, Freddie Wright and her brother, Thomas Lee Griffin, and her two sisters, Elizabeth Foster and Mary Annie Wright.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Mantee Baptist Church in Mantee, Mississippi
Pallbearers will be Travis Wright, Joe Wright, Bruce King, Eric King, Tripp Odom, and Tyler Wright.
