IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra Faye
Bullock
September 15, 1949 – April 25, 2025
Sandra Doss Bullock was born September 15, 1949, in Houston, MS, and left this life on Earth April 25, 2025. Raised in a hardworking, close-knit family, she learned invaluable lessons in life and love. Sandra Faye, the tiny baby whose first humble bed was a suitcase, blossomed into a strong and beautiful soul.
As a young teen, she met the boy who stole her heart and later became the man who was the love of her life. Sandra and Eddie's journey began when they married, but at the time he did not fully grasp what a treasure he had found in her. Together they built a life, finding their calling, rearing two daughters, touching lives with God's love wherever they went, and pulling themselves up by the bootstraps many times over the years. She supported his dreams every step of the way, working hard to help make them reality. His dreams became hers because she loved him so.
Like her mother, Jeanette, Sandra embodied the virtues of Proverbs 31 wife, not because she ever wove her own cloth or rose before dawn to knead bread, (and goodness knows she never was able to grow anything green!), but because she loved everyone in her life so well. Sandra cooked to nourish those she loved, even though cooking wasn't her favorite. She cleaned because she cared. She created a home that was a safe place for all who entered. She paid the bills and balanced the budget. She patched the boo-boos and kissed away the hurt. She led by example and embodied the values she cherished. She worked full time to support her family, despite her desire to be home with her girls. Yet she rarely missed a soccer game or recital, and she was always the one cheering loudest. She was a keeper of giggly secrets, a playmate and best friend. Her daily acts of faithfulness were what defined her, and she did them all to the best of her ability. She loved with her very life, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Eddie Bullock, her daughters, Emily Bullock Beyer (Chris), and Jennifer Bullock. Her grandchildren Olivia Grace Beyer, Anderson Graham Beyer, and Sulmi Perdomo. Her sister Betty Lynn Campbell (Eddie), brother Scott Harrington Doss (Cheryl), her sister-in-law Debby (Don) and brother-in-law David (Gina) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved wholeheartedly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lee and Jeanette Harrington Doss, her brother, Joe Douglas Doss, her sister-in-law, Sandra Bailey Doss, and her niece, Amanda Doss Harmon.
A celebration of Sandra's life and love will take place at Bethel Baptist Church in Woodland, MS, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 4:00 PM, with visitation from 2:00-4:00 PM. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bullock family.
