Keranen, Ruth - 67, died Friday, June 7, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
She was born October 27, 1945, in Houston to Lemuel Hackney Stafford and Ruth Pannell Stafford. She was a homemaker.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, MS with Dr. Randy Rinehart officiating. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Stacy Shawn Keranen and Michelle Keranen of Houston; her step-daughter, Kathy Keranen of OK; her step-son, Emil Keranen, Jr. of OK; her grandchildren, Preston Keranen and Brittnee Jaggars Keranen both of Houston; her sisters, Barbara and John Carley of Redding, CA, Linda Ferguson of Gulf Port; her brother, Frankie Stafford of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her children, Ann Marie Cole, and Eugene Cole, her husband, Emil E. Keranen, her sister, Darlene Kellum, and her brother, Eddie Dale Blansett.
Honorary pallbearers are Preston Keranen, Chris Blansett, Charles Stafford, Scott Kellum, Cyrus Carney, Shane Stafford.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home and Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the 2:00 PM service time at Houston Funeral Home.
