Ruth Doss Finn (81), went to the arms of Jesus on June 30th, 2026. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her. She was born in St. Louis, MO on June 24th, 1945, to her parents Allen Jefferson Doss and Hazel Inez Doss (both deceased).

Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she dedicated herself to loving, encouraging and caring for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith and unwavering love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

After faithfully walking through life with Grace, she is now reunited with the love of her life, her husband, Roger Dale Finn, who preceded her in death. We find comfort in imagining him waiting to welcome her at the Heaven’s East Gate, where they embrace once again after their time apart. Together, they are now at peace in the presence of the Lord, free from pain and surrounded by everlasting love.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice in knowing that her faith has become sight and that she is finally home. Her love, wisdom and gentle spirit will remain with us always.

She is survived by her children, Debbie and John Peden, Francie Dunaway and Scott Warsham, Terry and Jennifer Finn, Heather and Cooper Lee, Ashley and Hunter Chandler. Her surviving grandchildren are Toni Chadwick (Lyon), Skylar Peden (Tana) Laura Beth Andres (Tommy), Taylor Buford (Hunter), Mabry Wilkinson (Reina), Zackary Wilkinson (Tashaina), Garrett Wilkinson (Tori), Creighton Lee (Emma), Kailey Weeks, Christian Chamblee (Kathleen) Sarah Cooper Lee, Abbey Finn, Oliver Lee, Eloise Lee, Hazel Lee, Avery Chandler, Maison Chandler, Mary Allison Lemonis, Christopher Jamie, and Matthew Hales. Her surviving great grandchildren, Bailey, Harper, Sawyer, Swayze, John Tucker, Naomi, Dottie Frances, Emma Grace, Lily Stein, Tatum, John David, Andy Leila Ray, Bryce, Alayna, Legend Kinley and soon to be Tyler Hudson. Her brother, Dennis (Christine) Doss and sister, Bobbie (Danny) Williams and a host of nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Hazel Doss, daughter Shelley Ford, Daughter in law, Julia Finn, granddaughter, Austin Renee Finn and her brother, Billy Doss. 

Services to take place on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 at Houston Funeral Home. Visitation is at 10am. Funeral service at 11 am with interment to follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
