Obituary
Ruby Joan Harman Wofford, 87, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 after an extended illness, peacefully at Twilight Nursing Home in Corsicana, Texas. She was born April 30, 1931 in Yukon, West Virginia to Sam Harman and Ruby Caroline Grizzle Harman. Mrs. Wofford was a retired Bulldozer operator and a longtime member of Mantee Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Steve) Francis of Stephenville, TX, and Katherine (Richard) Curtis of Granbury, TX; two sons, Winburn Simpson (Lori) Wofford Jr. of Mantee, MS, and Don (Marla) Wofford of Corsicana, TX; one sister, Ann Vargus of Dallas, TX., eight grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ruby Harman; and her husband of 56 years, Winburn Wofford Sr.
Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, Mississippi.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Houston Funeral Home with Rev. Zack Sanford officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mantee, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Steve Conner, Kelly Trull, Shun Blanston, Justin Brock, Kelly Elam, Charlie Naron, and Josh Langford.
