Roger Dale Finn went home to the arms of Jesus on May 30, 2025. He was surrounded by family in his home in Houston, Mississippi. Roger was an amazing husband, loving father, and doting grandfather and great grandfather. He was born in Houston, Mississippi on October 17, 1948 to parents James & Mary Lou Finn (both deceased). He married the love of his life, Ruth Finn, on September 7, 1972, in Buena Vista, Mississippi.

Roger was a born-again Christian and walked with the Lord daily. His actions towards others showed his love of Christ through his life.

His passion was automobiles. He was an honest businessman who worked almost exclusively at new and used car dealerships. His mentor was Harry Vickery.

Roger served in the United States Army and was deployed during the Vietnam War.

Roger is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Finn, his sister, Janice McClellan (Bill) his daughters (spouses listed), Beverly and Jimmy Edge, Deb and John Peden, Frances Dunaway, Heather and Cooper Lee, and Ashley and Hunter Chandler, his son Terry Finn and his beloved daughter-in-law, Jennifer Finn. His surviving grandchildren are Toni Chadwick (Lyon), Skylar Peden (Tana), Laura Beth Andres (Tommy), Mary Allison Lemonis, Taylor Buford (Hunter), Mabry Wilkinson (Reina), Zachary Wilkinson (Tashaina), Garrett Wilkinson (Tori), Creighton Lee (Emma), Kailey Weeks, Christian Chamblee (Kathleen), Sara Cooper Lee, Abbey Finn, Oliver Lee, Eloise Lee, Hazel Lee, Avery Chandler, Maison Chandler, Coty Edge (Chasity), and Matthew Edge. His surviving great-grandchildren: Bailey, Harper, Sawyer, Swayze, John Tucker, Naomi, Dottie Frances, Emma Grace, Tatum, Leila Ray, Bryce, Legend, and Kinley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Donnie Finn, Reuble Finn, Frances Spencer, Faye Moore, Perlene Presley, son Darrell Kitchens, daughter Shelley Ford, daughter in law Julia Finn, granddaughter, Austin Renee Finn, and grandson, Samuel Edge.

Services to take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Houston Funeral Home. Visitation is 2pm-3:30pm. Funeral Service at 3:30pm with interment to follow at Macedonia Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home is honored to serve the Finn family.
