Allen, Ricky Sterling - Houston Ricky Sterling Coach Allen, 60, passed away Friday, May 27th, 2016, at Methodist Hospital, in Germantown, TN. He was born October 3, 1955, in Houston, Mississippi to Rupert Sterling Allen and Scottie Blue Allen. He was a retired principal and head Football Coach of Houston High School for 36 years. Ricky was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Houston. He was a former football player for the University of Southern Mississippi and co-owner of Cee Gee`s Gallery.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 30, 2016 at 2 P.M. at Houston First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rex Wilburn, Rev. Mike Childs and Rev. Jonathan Childress officiating. Immediately following the service will be a celebration of life reception at the family life center.
Burial will follow at Chickasaw Memorial Garden in Houston ,Ms.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by wife: Debbie Gann Allen of Houston, his mother: Scottie Blue Allen of Houston, one daughter: Blakely (Gordon) Dendy of Olive Branch, MS, one son: Greg (Cassie) Allen of Clarksville, TN, one brother: Gary (Missy) Allen of Houston, MS and three grandchildren: Abby Grace Dendy, Brayden Dendy, and Messina Grace Allen.
He was preceded in death by his father: Rupert Sterling Allen.
Pall Bearers will be Frank Pemper, Bubba Blue, Tim Finn, Mark Faulkner, Tweety Allen, Tony Cook, Johnny Blue, and Van Blue.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all former football players and coaches who played with him or for him from Houston High School.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 29, 2016, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, MS.
