Bray, Reubenia White - Reubenia Bea White Bray, 87, passed away Thursday, May 12th, 2016, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen, MS. She was born May 26, 1928, in Houston, Mississippi to Doyle Clayton White and Ruby Bean White. Reubenia retired after 25 years as a payroll clerk at Union Camp Corporation. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Houston First Baptist Church for over 70 years, a member of the choir for 40 years, and faithfully served in many other positions throughout the years. Many children grew up being welcomed each Sunday by Miss Bea in the Preschool department. Her love of God was a witness to all. Reubenia was also a member of Houston Auxiliary Club and a well-known greeter at Houston Upper Elementary School. Reubenia loved her family. After the accidental death of her husband, J.T. Bray in 1966, she raised her three children as a single mom. As her family grew; her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews would come to visit as she was so delighted in gathering them around her on holidays. For over 35 years, she had a special gathering for lunch and a big Easter egg hunt at Easter. She was an excellent seamstress, who clothed her children in prize winning outfits at home demonstration events. Reubenia was an excellent cook and a gracious hostess who loved entertaining family and friends in her home. She loved playing board games and card games, and she was a very competitive player.
