Raymond Pettit

Houlka, MS- Mr. Raymond Pettit passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center on July 22, 2022 at the age of 93. He was born Raymond Junior Pettit to Nathan Pettit and Bessie Morgan Pettit on September 29, 1928. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Houlka United Methodist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Houlka Methodist Church with Bro. David Blackwell and Bro. Junior Richie officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM the day of service at Houlka Methodist Church. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of service.

He is survived by his spouse of 73 years, Marie Smith Pettit; three daughters, Betty Gail Smith of Houlka, Ronnie Sue (Ricky) Burgess of Houlka, and Debra (Shane) Langford of Vardaman; one son, Roger Pettit of Houlka; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.

The family has requested that mask be required.
