Raymond Paden

Houlka- Raymond Austin Paden,68, passed away April 18, 2018, at his home in Houlka, Mississippi. Mr. Paden was born on June 7, 1949 to Joe Hugh Peden and Grace Austin Peden.

Mr. Paden was a retired school teacher for 12 years and served as Superintendent of Education for Chickasaw County Schools for three terms. He was a member of the Houston Masonic Lodge #067.

A visitation with the family will be from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, Mississippi.

Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Cathie Cook Paden of Houlka, MS., a son, Thomas Ray Paden of Pontotoc, MS., a daughter, Laura Springer (Brad) Andrews of Mantee, MS., his sister, Thelma Ann Davis of Houlka, MS., his two grandchildren, Bradley Austin Paden and Dalton Ray Paden.

Raymond Paden is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Joseph Paden, 2 sisters, Wilma Lane Davis and Josephine Higginbotham, and brothers, Walter Stewart Paden, Hugh Stanley Paden, and Robert Earl Paden.
