Rachel Boyles Nichols

Rachel Boyles Nichols, age 50, passed away on January 30, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born June 24, 1972 as the fourth daughter of W.E. and Mary Boyles.

Rachel was a graduate of East Webster High school, Wood College and The University of Mississippi. She taught at the Catherine Bryan School in West Point, MS for over 20 years and after retiring she worked for State Farm Insurance in Houston, MS. Teaching was a calling and passion of hers, which included several years working at North Mississippi Center for Higher Educational Advancement. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with family.

Rachel is survived by her husband of 25 years, Joe Nichols, and her children, Joseph and Patrick Nichols all of Woodland; four siblings, Barbara (Allen) Young of Greenwood, MS; Carol (Gerry) Camp of Gulfport, MS, Mary Elizabeth (Wayne) Hodges of Eupora, MS and Ronald Boyles of Eupora, MS; her father and mother in law, Kenneth and Rose Nichols of Houston, MS.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A celebration of life will be at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, MS on February 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Randy Rinehart officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service with burial at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in the Anchor Community.
