Peggy was born and raised in Houston, MS. Graduating from Houston High School in 1958, she went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi State College for Women and a Master's Degree from Mississippi State University. She married Gene Livingston in June of 1959. They have two sons, Russell and Charles (Chip).
In 1962, a job opportunity brought them to Marietta in Cobb County, GA. She worked in the Cobb County School District as a teacher and counselor until she retired.
Peggy's hobbies and interests included sewing, quilting, gardening, reading and spoiling her grandchildren. She often made quilts with her quilting group for the homeless and those in the hospital. She was always there to help others in need. She enjoyed watching HGTV and keeping up with the latest decorating trends. She loved attending church and had a servant's heart.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Louis (Bud) Dobbs; her mother, Louise Nabors Dobbs and her sister, Sandra Dobbs Danforth.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy Gene Livingston of Canton, GA; her son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Janice Livingston and granddaughter Sarah of Cumming, GA; Chip Livingston and granddaughter Olivia and grandson Bryce of Carlsbad, CA; her sisters, Barbara Dobbs Monts of Olive Branch, MS and Pam Dobbs Wright Cook of Houston, MS; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Peggy loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
