Walters, Maylene Naron - Iris Maylene Naron Walters, 89, died Monday, October 13, 2014, at her home in Houston.
She was born January 6, 1925, in Chickasaw County to Cecil Parker Naron and Mable Ware Naron. She was a homemaker, co-owner of Walters Grocery, and a member of First Baptist Church in Houston.
Funeral services are Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Houston with Dr. Daniel Heeringa officiating. Burial will follow at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Nabors of Marion, AR, Margaret (Leon) Hollingsworth of Houston; her sisters, Frances Raborn of Baton Rouge, LA, Vera Carter of West Monroe, LA, Sandra (Grady) Ford of Gulfport; her sister-in-law, Judy Naron of Tacoma, WA, her grandchildren, Dale Nabors, Damon (Meshelle) Nabors, Jason (Sandra) Suggs, Chad (Emily) Suggs, Cliff Walters, Cindy (John Paul) Cockell, Allyson (Darrell) Moore, Phillip Hollingsworth; her great-grandchildren, Dalton Nabors, Danielle Nabors, Taylor Roberson, Alex Nabors, Damon Nabors, Jr., Wesley Cade Nabors, Natalie Brooke Nabors, Sam Suggs, Gracie Suggs, Mary Emma Suggs, Riley Suggs, John Michael (Jessica) Cockell, Christopher (Dawn) Cockell, Calee Cockell, Anna Clair Moore, Suzy Moore, Gregg Hollingsworth, Halle Hollingsworth, Ashlyn Hollingsworth; her great-great grandchild, Audrey Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Walters, her son, Roger Clifton Walters, her parents, Cecil and Mable Naron, her sister, Louise Kiser, her brother, Simuel C. Naron.
Visitation is Thursday, October 16, 2014, from 1pm until 3 pm at First Baptist Church in Houston.
