King, Maurine - Woodland Jewel Maurine Clark King, 90, died Friday, April 4, 2014, at her home in Woodland.
She was born December 15, 1923, in Clay County, MS to Grady W. Clark and Eula Mae Clark.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
The funeral service is Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home in Houston with Rev. Sammy McMillen officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Woodland. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Wayne and Cynthia King of Woodland; her daughter-in-law, Barbara King of Houlka; her grandchildren, Cory and Olivia King, Dana and Derek Brown, Shane and Brandy Presley; her great-grandchildren, Annie Kate Brown, Matthew Dendy, Lea Grace Dendy and Ava Presley; her sister, Faye and Tom Johnson of Houston, TX; her brother, Robert Bobby and Nora Clark of Okolona.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. King in November 1973; her son, William Mike King; her parents, her sisters, Nannie Harrison, Ruby Vail, Dorothy Watkins; her brothers, Willie Clark, A.J. Clark, Fred Clark, and Grady Clark.
Pallbearers are Shane Presley, Derek Brown, Bob Mixon, Cory King, Gary McQuary, and Bobby Clark
Visitation is Saturday, April 5, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home in Houston.
