Marty Allen Collums, age 65, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home in Houlka, MS. He was born November 30, 1958 to Jimmy Allen Collums and Nancy Goodwin Collums. He was a member of Bent Knee Church in Houlka. Marty owned his own business doing concrete contracting for many years.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday at Bent Knee Cowboy Church at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jacob Samuell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 5-7 PM at the church and from 10 AM until the time of service on Friday. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home is honored to serve the Collums Family.

Pallbearers will be John Collums, Dalton Collums, Brody Collums, Billy Zane Clark, Dustin Davis, Garry Turner, Ron Nolan and Mark Ezell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the 1973 Wildcats Baseball Team, Danny Davis and Chad Huddleston.

He is survived by the love of his life, Shelly Collums; his daughters, Ashleigh (Duane) Huddleston and Alli Frann (Sid) Alford both from Houlka; his grandchildren, Ryleigh Clare, Ryder, Piper, Hester Haze, and Pixie; his brothers, Jimmy W. (Betsy) Collums and Scott (Renee) Collums both from Houlka; his sister in laws, Cindy Collums from Pontotoc, Kim (Johnny) Reece and Amber (Alan) Bryant both from Tupelo; and his mother in law, Frances Young of Saltillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Allen and Nancy Collums; his brother, Ken Collums; his father in law, Hubby Young; and his nephew, John Brannon Reece.

Marty loved many things such as John Wayne and Percy Sledge, his family and friends but his grandchildren held a very special place in his heart. He loved them BIG. If he loved you then he loved you with his whole heart. He will be missed tremendously by his family and friends.
