Obituary

With heavy hearts and profound love, we remember and celebrate the life of Sue Soden, who was born on October 2, 1939, and peacefully passed away on June 13, 2026. She was a remarkable woman whose passion for life was matched only by her devout faith and extraordinary love for her family.

Sue's life was a beautiful testament to the power of love and faith. She loved like no other, pouring herself into every relationship with a warmth and sincerity that touched all who knew her. Her service to Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, guiding her every action and inspiring those around her to live with grace and compassion.

She was a devoted mother, cherishing her children and their spouses, and took immense joy in her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she nurtured generations with a love so deep and enduring it will forever resonate in their hearts.

Beyond her family, Sue dedicated herself to nurturing and caring for children through her childcare facility. She loved every minute of this calling, finding joy in watching young lives blossom under her care and guidance. Her nurturing spirit and gentle hands left an indelible mark on the many children she helped raise.

Sue is survived by her children, Charles (Reba) Soden, Clay (Jackie) Soden, Bobby (Joy) Soden, and Tammy Soden; her two brothers, Jessie and Jimmy Tilghman; her 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and her 6 great-great-grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Sue leaves behind a legacy—not just of family and love, but of unwavering faith, steadfast devotion, and a life dedicated to following Christ. This legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who carry forward the light she so brightheartedly shared.

A visitation to honor her life will be held on June 16, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church, located at 204 Locust St, Aberdeen, MS 39730. The funeral service will follow on June 17, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM with Bro. Ricky Bowen and Bro. Clay Soden officiating, at the same beloved church.

Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Sue’s loving spirit and faith will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She taught by example how to love deeply and serve faithfully, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

May we cherish her memory and honor her life by living with the same fervent love and devotion that defined her beautiful journey. Rest in peace, Sue. You are deeply missed and forever loved.
