Flaherty, Lucy - Houston Lewellyn Lillian Lucy Gerosa Flaherty, 61, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at her home in Houston.
She was born April 19, 1952, in New Orleans, LA to Louis Gerosa and Estel Benton Gerosa.
She was a scale operator at Prairie Bluff Landfill in Houston and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, MS with Rev. Darrell Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Houston. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Flaherty of Houston; her daughters, Penny Allred of Vero Beach, FL, Sherry and Larry Jamison of Natchez, Sheila and Sam King of Bosie, Idaho; her sons, James Edward Floyd III of Lake Charles, LA, Casey Floyd of Morgan City, LA, Wesley and Paula Flaherty of Boise, Idaho, Brian and Vickie Flaherty of Belmont, Shelby and Fawn Flaherty of Siro, OK; her brothers, Larry Gerosa of New Brunsville, TX, Roy Pomez of New Orleans, LA; her grandchildren, Stephanie and Don Butler, Christina Jamison, Joshua Newman, Anna and Ty Billings, Alisha Newman, Courtney and Curtis Flaherty, Ashley Allred, Alayna Flaherty, Bishop Flaherty, Gary Gray, Casey Floyd, Jr., Katie Floyd, Caleb Floyd, and her seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Buddy Pomez, and her mother-in-law, Thelma Flaherty.
Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2013, from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home.
