Doss, Lorette - Houston Fannie Lorette Marett Whitt Doss, 92, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Shearer Richardson Memorial Nursing Home in Okolona.
She was born May 23, 1921, in Chickasaw County to Charlie Lee Whitt and Lee Etta Huffman Whitt.
She was a retired seamstress for various companies and she was a Methodist.
Services were at 11:00 AM Friday, January 10, 2014, at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, MS with Rev. Jonathan Childress officiating. Burial followed at Macedonia Cemetery in Houston. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna and Billy Hollowell of Houston; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; forty-seven great-great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Doss, her parents, her sons, Charles Eugene Doss, A.L. Tadploe Doss, her daughter, Susie Mae Eaton; her son-in-law, John Edgar Buddy Eaton; her grandson, Gaylon Doyle, her granddaughter, Lana Boone; and her great-granddaughter, Wendy Doss.
Pallbearers were Kevin Doss, Tony Doss, Larry Dunn, Mark McCary, Daniel Dunn, Jeremy Murphree.
Visitation was Thursday, January 9, 2014, from 5:00 PM until the 8:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home.
