Overcash, Lorene - Lorene Brown Overcash, 88, passed away September 18, 2017, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Mrs. Overcash was born on October 6, 1928 in Chickasaw County, MS to David Columbus and Sallie Gann Griffin. She was a resident of Countrywood Plantation Assisted Living in Mantachie. She was a member of Macedonia Methodist Church in Houston, MS.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Macedonia Methodist Church with Bro. Steve Lampkin officiating.
Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Houston, MS.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her son,, Earl (Vickie) Brown of Houlka and two daughters, Ruby (Tommy) Brogan of Rossville, TN, and Kaye (Ray) Webster of Houston; one son-in-law, Al Clemons of Rienzi, MS; one step-son, Stephen (Harriet) Overcash of Charlotte, NC; 9 grandchildren, David (Maya) Brown, Lisa Hosford, Lee Clemons, Amy (Matt) Wilson, Tara (Dave) Adams, Michelle White, Michael Webster, Katie (Clarke) Rodgers, Tyler (Kim) Overcash; 10 great-grandchildren, Christopher (Paige) Brown, Jon Hunter Hudson ,Ryan and Natalie Wilson, Zulamae Adams, Allyson (Phillip) Hays, Allyssa (Alex) Smith, Harley Webster, Claire and Olivia Overcash; one great-great grandchild, Jaycee Livingston; one sister, Joyce (Gerald) Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorene Overcash is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Linda Clemons; two husbands, John H. Brown and J.P. Overcash; four sisters and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be David Griffin, Grant Griffin, Roger Finn, Bruce Walters, Tim Hicks and Kevin Lewis.
Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Houston Funeral Home, and at Macedonia Methodist Church from 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
