Baton Rouge Linda Juanita Poindexter Cox, 73, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
She was born July 9, 1941 in Water Valley, MS to Harvey Poindexter & Jesse Collins. She was a Property Controller for the Department of Corrections, State of Louisiana.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Houston Funeral Home in Houston.
Survivors include: Daughter, Suzanne (Jay) McCain of Liberty, MS; Son, Paul Gerard Cox, III of New Orleans, LA; Sister, Faye Shearer of Pascagoula, MS; Sister-in-Law, Penney Nichols of Houston; Grandson, Taylor (Margaret) McCain; and Great-Grandsons, Everett McCain and Stirling McCain.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Gerard Gerry Cox, II.
Pallbearers are: Dalton Collums, Brody Collums, D.J. Pulley and Walter Archer.
