Hicks, Junior
- Houston- Allen Junior Hicks, 84, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017, at his home in Houston. Mr. Hicks was born in Vardaman, Mississippi on February 13, 1933 to Allie Mae Hicks and Lille Mae Stringfellow Hicks. He was a retired A machinist for B & W for 29 years. He also was a long time Deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church in Houston. Mr. Hicks was also a member of the U.S. Army.
A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Houston with Bro. Bobby Brock, and Bro. Bobby Ivey officiating.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his son, Tim (Linda) Hicks of Houston, his daughter-in-law, Regina Hicks of Houston, his grandchildren, Brian (Emily) Hicks of New Albany, Kenny (Crystal) Hicks of Booneville, Kelly (Justin) Hollis of Myrtle, Amber Hicks and Steven Kelly of Houston, his great-grandchildren, Parker, Will, Cooper & Claire Hicks, Eli and Paxton Hollis, Trace & Griffin West, Tyler Kelly, and Austin & Easton Hicks.
Allen Hicks is preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife, Ruth Griffin Hicks, his son, Bob Hicks, and his brothers.
Visitation with family will be Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Houston Funeral Home in Houston, Mississippi. The body will lie in state at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, until the service time at 2:00 P.M. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Houston.
Pallbearers will be, Brian Hicks, Kenny Hicks, Steven Kelly, Justin Hollis, Mike Boyce, and Jerry Eaton.
