Joe Edd "Buddy" Skelton died Sunday, May 7 ^th at NMMC Hospice Unit after a very brief illness. He was born December 2, 1942 in Houston, MS to Joe Edd Skelton, Sr. and Floy Holloway. He married Joy Ross Skelton.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Skelton; one son, Ryan Ross Skelton; two nephews, Phil (Felcia) Yarbrough of Canton, MS and Scott (Mary) Yarbrough of Nashville, TN.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Joe Edd Skelton, Sr. and Floy Holloway Skelton; one sister Daisy Yarbrough and one brother, Hal Skelton.

He was a retired businessman with interests in farming and forestry. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Houston, MS.

A Private family only graveside will be held at MT. Pleasant Cemetery in Mantee, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Houston Funeral Home is honored to serve the family in their time of need.
