Graves, Joe N. - Houlka Joseph Newell Joe Graves, 88, died Saturday, November 23, 2013, at his home in Houlka. He was born September 22, 1925, to Jesse Grady Graves and Anice Newell Graves. He was a retired electrical engineer for TVA and a member of Houlka Presbyterian Church. He was an Army Air Corp WWII Veteran and a member of the Houlka Lions Club.
Services are Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Houlka Presbyterian Church in Houlka, with Mr. Bill Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Houlka. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Robert and Kathy Graves of Fairfax, VA, Joseph Raymond Ray Graves of Houlka, George Andrew Andy Graves and Rose Marie Boarman of Atlanta, GA, Jason Shane and Samantha Graves of Houlka; his brother, Robert Newell Bob and Helen Graves of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Leslie Owens, Logan Graves, Seth Graves, Daniel Graves, Eric Graves; his great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Lutey, Hunter Graves, and Lillie Graves.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Easley Graves on April 7, 2007, and his parents.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 30, 2013, from 10:00 until the 11:00 AM funeral service time at Houlka Presbyterian Church.
