Jane Marie Thomas McDonald, 87, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family in Houlka, Mississippi. She was born on March 30, 1930 in Chickasaw County to Oscar L. Thomas, and Jimmie Byars Thomas. Jane was a seamstress for Indianapolis Glove plant and she worked at Houlka Grain and Feed where she retired as a secretary. She was a member of the Houlka First Baptist Church.
The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Houlka First Baptist Church in Houlka with Rev. David Blackwell officiating.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Houlka, Mississippi.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Sappington of Houlka, MS; Vicki (Donnie) Homan of Pontocola, MS; her son, Jimmy Guy (Debbie) McDonald of Houlka, MS; her grandchildren, Bradley McDonald, Brandi (Brad) Brown, Casey Sappington, Jill (Brad) Vance, Cassie Homan, Anna (Bill) West, Bud (Lauren) Homan; her great grandchildren, Brayden Brown, Brody Brown, Jade Gunnells, Mark West, Heidi West, Lyla West, and Vance Homan.
Mrs. McDonald is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Guy Wilbur McDonald, and one sister, Ann Winter.
Pallbearers will be Bradley McDonald, Brad Vance, Brad Brown, Doug Winter, Nick Earp, and Billy Box.
Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Houlka First Baptist Church in Houlka.
