James Robert Clark, age 67, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born November 18, 1956 in Chickasaw County to James Hubert Clark and Alice Faye Chrestman Clark.

Jim was a member of First Baptist Church Houlka and graduated from Houlka High School in 1974. During his junior year he had the honor of serving as a page under Congressman Abernathy in Washington, D.C. He was a man of many talents and could bring a smile to whomever he spoke with. He enjoyed cooking and also the many miles he rode on his motorcycle. One of his last outings was going fishing which he had missed as his health declined.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11 A.M. with visitation from 10 A.M. until the service starts at FBC Houlka. Bro David Blackwell will be officiating. Houston Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.

He is survived by his son, Caleb Clark (wife, Chasidy); his grandchildren Audi and Jac Clark, all of Pontotoc, MS; his mother, Alice Clark of Houlka and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Clark; his wife of 37 years, Darlene Clark; his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Juanita Chrestman; and his paternal grandparents Jim and Lavell Clark.
