Griffin, Jackie - uston Jackie Earl Griffin, 55, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015, at his home in Houston. He was born April 17, 1960 in Houston to Marvin Earl Griffin and Sarah Theresa Alford Griffin Huffman. He was a member of Thorn Church of God. Even though Jackie had an earthly disability, he was a joy to all and loved life. He never forgot a name. He enjoyed going to church until he could go no longer. He had a loving mother and two sisters that adored him. Jackie is in God s loving hands now, free of pain and suffering.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home in Houston with Rev. Arnold Amason and Rev. Frank Sample officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Vardaman.
Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Theresa Alford Griffin Huffman of Houston; sisters Paulette (Gary) Moore of Houston and Theresa Griffin Bray of Houston; nephews, Kevin Paul Moore and Nathan Bray; Nieces, April Moore Smith, Jeannie Moore, and Stephanna Bray.
He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Roy and Mary Lou Alford and Clarence M. and Dewie May Griffin.
Pallbearers are Nathan Bray, Neal Myatt, Eddie Harrell, Jr. Michael Lyle, Toby Johnson, Danny Smith, and Christopher Earnest.
Honorary Pallbearers are Gary Moore, Earl Adams, Russel Moore, Cecil Ferguson, Buddy Elvin Ferguson, Donnie Ferguson, Eddie Harrell, James Clark, Paul Griffin and Steve Bray.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM service time at Houston Funeral Home.
