Blissard, Grady Evans - 91, of Thorn, a retired heavy equipment operator for 28 years for TVA and a member of Thorn Methodist Church for over eighty years, died at his home in Thorn on Friday, October 21, 2011. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Houston Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the 2:00 PM service time.Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Houston Funeral Home, with Bro. Frank Sample and Rev. John Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Houston Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Elizabeth Smith Blissard; his sons and their wives; Joe and Marjorie Blissard, Kenneth and Janice Blissard, and Mike and Suzie Blissard all of Houston; his grandchildren, Jody & Jada Blissard, Sonny Blissard & fiancee, Kerrie Gentry, Bill & LaTessa Blissard, Mollie & Greg Cardwell, Clint Blissard, Becca & Rome Johnson, Kellan Blissard, and Ezra Blissard; his great-grandchildren, Shane Blissard, Wesley Blissard, Lillie Beth Blissard, Ella Johnson, and Elias Cardwell.
