James Garland McDaniel, Sr., 75, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home in Houston, MS. He was born on June 14, 1943 in Moorhead, Mississippi to Gardner Heishman McDaniel and Jimmie Frances Carroll McDaniel. He was the owner of McDaniel & Son Heating and Air and a member of Davis Chapel Church of Nazarene.

Funeral Service for Mr. Garland McDaniel will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Parkway Baptist Church in Houston, MS with Dr. Randy Rinehart and Rev. Bobby Brock officiating.

Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements for the McDaniel family.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Spencer McDaniel of Houston; his daughters, Chandra (Roger) Warren of Houlka, and Dechelle (Scott) Stroup of Tillatoba; his sons, James (Pam) McDaniel of Woodland, Jonathan (Jade) McDaniel of Houston, and Randy (Michelle) Hurst of Houston; his sisters, Lalene Henry of Houston, and Eva (Thomas) Howarth of Cleveland; his brothers, Andy (Betty) McDaniel of Houston and George (Gladys) McDaniel of Houston; his grandchildren, Sarah Simmons, Stephen Simmons, Ry Warren, Weston Warren, Bailey Warren, Bethany Warren, Brittany (Chad) Carpenter, Amber Franklin, Bryson Kane McDaniel, Alex Caden McDaniel, Jon Gavin McDaniel, Garrett Hurst and Austin Hurst; his great-grandchildren, Teagan Green, Stateum Melton, and Shyanne Franklin.

Mr. McDaniel is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Elmer Leo McDaniel.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Parkway Baptist Church in Houston, Mississippi and from 12:00 P.M. until time of service on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Parkway Baptist Church in Houston, Mississippi.
