- Houston Ola Estelle Hill Criddle, 93, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
She was born May 21, 1921, in Houston to James Russell Hill and Lonnie Lee Duncan Hill. She was retired seamstress from Seminole and Burris and was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015, at 11:00 am at Macedonia United Methodist Church in Houston with Rev. Steve Lampkin officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Houston. Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (Darrell) Hardin of Houston, Faye (Marion) Sumner of West Point; her son, James Eugene (Pam) Criddle, of Houston; her sister, Gladys Latham of Maben; her grandchildren, Dale (Darylann) Hardin of New Hope, Tommy (Ruthie) Hardin of Houston, Rusty (Kay) Sumner of Lena, Scooter Osburn of West Point, Jay (Gail) Criddle of Houston, Jon (Laura) Criddle of Saltillo, Jennifer Criddle of Houston; her great-grandchildren, Chaz (Tonya) Hardin of New Hope, Lindzay (Trea) Belk of Tupelo, Jessica (Wade) Fleming of Houston, Ty (Keeley) Hardin of Houston, Blake Sumner of West Point, Tyler Sumner of West Point, AJ (Leslie) Criddle of Houston, Markus Criddle of Houston, Haley Beth Criddle of Saltillo, Barbara Criddle of Houston, Ashley Osburn of Hattiesburg, Christopher C. Sumner of Biloxi ; and her great-great-grandchildren, Brandon Hardin of New Hope, Abby Gail Criddle of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Criddle; her daughter, Alice Faye Criddle; her grandson, Todd Hardin; her brothers, John Hill, Connie Lee Hill, William Hill; her sisters, Nettie Mae Huffman, Lela Bell Criddle, Betty Latham, Jannette King, and her parents, Russell and Lona Hill.
Pallbearers are Dale Hardin, Tommy Hardin, Rusty Sumner, Scooter Osburn, Jay Criddle, Jon Criddle . Honorary pallbearers are Chaz Hardin, Ty Hardin, Blake Sumner, Tyler Sumner, AJ Criddle, Marcus Criddle.
Visitation is Wednesday, January 7, 2015, from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm at Houston Funeral Home and Thursday at Macedonia United Methodist Church from 10:00 am until the 11: 00 am funeral service time.
