Rev. Elkin Heair

Houston- Rev. Elkin Carrel Heair, 93, passed away on December 9, 2021, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Mr. Heair was born on August 25, 1928, in Chickasaw County, Mississippi to James Carel Heair and Maggie Irene Smith Heair. He was a farmer and a minister at Church of The Lord Jesus Christ in Houston for 60 years. Mr. Elkin was a loving husband, father, and doting grandfather and great-great grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman- he took people on hunting trips to the mountains in Colorado where he loved showing others God's beautiful creation. He was a jack of all traits; he could build and fix anything. He loved working with his hands. He lived by these words- "I was born humble, stayed humble, and love my family. "I gave away more than I kept". "I always have been a man of my word".
