Hunter, Elizabeth - Elizabeth Clementine Gibson Hunter, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born September19, 1924 in Maben, MS to Clifton Cornelius Gibson and Ruth Wade Gibson. She was a homemaker, a loving grandmother known for being a great cook and her hospitality. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Providence Methodist Church in Maben, and attended Mantee Baptist Church with her family. She leaves behind many friends at Floy Dyer Manor where she played the hand bells.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Mantee Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Lee and Rev. William Carpenter Officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mantee, MS
.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Survivors include her three daughters, Linda (Jimmy) Stevens of Mantee, MS, Becky (Van) Johnson of Eupora, MS, Hope (David) Lee of Becker, MS, grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Neilson, Hailey (Michael) Pepper, Rebecca (Randall) Feather, Randee (Bubba) Jernigan, Mark (Amanda) Lee, Wade Lee, Julia Lee, Joseph Lee, and Stephanie Lee, and great-grandchild, Hunter Neilson, Luke Neilson, Davis Feather, Jackson Feather, Ava Pepper, Molly Pepper, Cliff Jernigan and Loralee Jernigan.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Guthrie Hunter, daughter, Susan Hunter, and granddaughter, Abigail Ruth Lee.
Visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Mantee Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Tim Neilson, Michael Pepper, Randall Feather, Bubba Jernigan, Hunter Neilson, Jackson Feather, Joseph Lee, Cliff Jernigan, Mark Lee, Davis Feather and Luke Neilson.
