Blissard, Elizabeth - Houston Elizabeth Smith Blissard, 87, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Fernbrooke Personal Care Home in Houston. She was born May 3, 1927, in Van Vleet to James Jackson Smith and Mollie Mae Neal Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Thorn United Methodist Church.
The funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 25, 2014, at Houston Funeral Home with burial following at Houston Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home in Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her sons, Joe E. (Marjorie) Blissard, Kenneth (Janice) Blissard, and Mike (Suzi) Blissard, all of Houston; her grandchildren, Jody (Jada) Blissard, Sonny (Kerrie) Blissard, Bill (LaTessa) Blissard, Mollie (Greg) Cardwell, Clint Blissard and fiancée, Amanda Plunk, Becca (Rome) Johnson, James Kellan Blissard, Ezra Alan Blissard; her great-grandchildren, Shane Blissard, Wesley Blissard, Lillie Beth Blissard, Ella Johnson, Elias Cardwell, Colton Blissard; her brothers, George (Martha Rose) Smith of Houston, and Rex (Corrine) Smith of Houlka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Grady Blissard, her sisters, Hilma Young, Evelyn Foster, Pauline Dugard, Carrah Cooper, an infant sister, Etoyle Robertson, Mary Ruth Robertson, Marcella Sykes; her brothers, Everett Smith, Woodrow Smith, Jack Smith, Sam Hugh Smith, Billy Smith, Bobby Smith, Dan Ridell Smith, and John Wayne Smith.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation is Thursday, July 24, from 5-7 PM at Houston Funeral Home.
