Mom loved sports. She played basketball, softball, golf, and tennis. She was a good bowler and even played right up to her due date. Her teammates teased her that she was going to have the baby during a game. Earline was a cheerleader in high school. She was an excellent seamstress and jewelry maker. She was artistic, loved painting and ceramics, and was a fan of Bob Ross. Mom enjoyed reading books by John Grisham and Mary Higgins Clark. She loved Elvis, elephants, and shopping. Especially shopping. After Earline & Joe moved to The Pass, she really enjoyed hanging out with their chickens; she sang and talked to them. She also enjoyed teaching the grandkids to fish in their pond.

Earline wore many hats throughout her working career. She worked in Boulder, CO, as a deputy court clerk. Then, she took dictation for 20 doctors and worked in the lab at St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. While living in Meridian, MS, she worked as a cashier at Bank of Meridian and in Fine Jewelry at McRae's before getting a job with Mississippi Power Company. She retired as a Customer Service Representative at the Gulfport District Office. In her retirement, Earline worked at the Long Beach Auto Auction before retiring for good.

Earline loved Joe, her girls, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and especially Kitty Kat! Kitty Kat was a feral cat who showed up in their yard in Pass Christian. Mom patiently sat on the back porch with food and conversation until he finally let her touch him. It was a long process, but Mom didn't give up on him and he's been her constant companion ever since. Joe & Earline loved their yearly Smoky Mountain vacations and enjoyed cruising to Hawaii and Alaska. Mom loved decorating for and celebrating holidays with her family and was really good at April Fool's pranks. Friday nights were for pizza with a rum & coke. She loved snow, which was pretty rare in MS, had a green thumb, and enjoyed working in the flower beds that she and Joe created. She will be missed.
