Lawrence, Doyle - Houston - Doyle A. Lawrence, 78, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, TN. He was born July 14, 1937 in Kosciusko, MS to Homer Ray Lawrence and Alma Gladys Lewis Lawrence. He was an area manager for MS Valley Gas Company. He was a member of Houston First Methodist Church. He also was an active member of Houston Jaycees and Houston Touchdown Club. Doyle was a Mason, a Shriner and a Veteran of the Army.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 at 2 PM at Houston Funeral Home in Houston with Rev. Rex Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston with Masonic rights.
Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Ann Lawrence of Houston; son, Keith Lawrence of Houston; sister, Nell Parkerson of Madison, MS; brother, Marvin Lawrence of Kosciusko, MS; grandchildren, Kaylah (Jimmy) Jordan of Okland, TN and Cristin Cook of Houston; great-grandchildren, Halle Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie Proctor Lawrence, on February 13, 2015; and two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home.
