Dorothy Nell Dunkin, age 100, passed away at Floy Dyer Nursing Home on July 24, 2023. She was born Dorothy Nell Harris to Thomas Elton Harris and Letha Neal Harris  on June 21, 1923 and raised by Clytee Harris. She was a member of Houlka Methodist church. She worked as a secretary for Houston Hospital, Kraft foods and Chickasaw County Dept. of Rehabilitation.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Rhodes and Dr. Randy Rinehart officiating. Visitation will start at 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Foster, Louis Chandler, JD Norman, Macky Dunkin, James Dunkin and Michael Dunkin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Daniel, Lee Dunkin, Don Dunkin, Brian Lacey, and Zane Thomas.

She is survived by her special nephew Thomas (Mackie) May, nephews Wayne Dupree, Jim Dupree and Jimmy Walker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Dunkin; her parents, Thomas, Letha Harris and Clytee Harris; one sister, Doris Dupree.
