Burgess, Dorothy Luther - 87, of Houlka, a homemaker, died at Graceland Care Center in Pontotoc on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 8, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at His Grace Ministries in Houlka.Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2011, at His Grace Ministries in Houlka with Rev. Tim Brown and David Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Buckhorn. She is survived by her children, John (Ruthie) Burgess of Little Rock, AR, Mickey Burgess of Houlka, Rickey (Ronnie Sue) Burgess of Houlka, Bonnie Brown of Houlka, and Zadie (George) Bailey of West Point; her grandchildren, Johnny Burgess II, Mike Burgess, Daphne Burgess Paden, Larry "Bubba" Burgess, Jr., Tim Brown, Archie Brown, Andy Brown, Terry Cole, Ginny Allen, Lee Burgess, Kayla Frazier, and John Ross Burgess; her seventeen great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandaughter; her sisters, Montez Stubblefield of Wichita,KS, Joan Morphis of Houlka, and Joyce Chenault of Tupelo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Larry "Bubba" Burgess, Sr. and Ken Burgess, and two sisters and two brothers.
