Woodruff, Dora - Houston- Dora Laverne Woodruff, 82, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Floy Dyer Manor in Houston, Mississippi. Miss. Woodruff was born in Houston, Mississippi on January 4, 1935 to Robert Roy Woodruff and Olivia Lucille Blue Woodruff. She worked for American Trousers and Delta Trousers as a seamstress.
A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodland, Mississippi with Rev. Sammy McMillen officiating.
Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Woodland, MS.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her sisters, Mackie (Thomas) May of Houston, Margaret (David) Nelson of Woodland, her brothers, John Robert (Sara) Woodruff of Houston, Frank (Brenda) Woodruff of Houston and her brother-in-law, Travis Leon Fortner of Houston.
Dora Woodruff is preceded in death by her parents, her three sisters, Sara Dendy, Helen Pate, and Jo Ann Fortner.
Pallbearers will be Thomas May, David Nelson, Steve Pate and Todd Griffin.
