Obituary

Ware, Dewitt - Houston Dewitt Spurgeon Ware, 92, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born October 4, 1923 in Chickasaw County to Johnnie Walton Ware and Mala Louella Neal Ware. He was a former salesman at Carty s Department Store. He also worked at Houston Hardware and retired as a delivery man for Dendy Lumber Company. He was the great-great-great grandson of George Walton, a signer of The Declaration of Independence. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Houston.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home in Houston with Rev. Joe Coggins officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Houston.
Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one step-daughter, Linda Sanders White of Houston; and caregivers, Sharrene and Raymond Cole, Myra Booth, and Joanna Heair, all of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lura Sanders Ware; and two brothers, Willie Neal Ware and David Harley Ware.
Pallbearers are Glen Chisolm, Zane Clark, Jr., Doyle Booth, Billy Daugherty, Raymond Cole and Jack Dendy.
Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Houston Funeral Home.
