Houston- Mrs. Dennia Denetta Johnson, 56, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at her home in Houston after her battle with cancer. She was born in Houston, Mississippi on December 11, 1964 to Thomas Denton "Sister" Johnson and Etta Wagers Johnson. She was a retired truck driver for Hardin Trucking out of Bruce. She was a member of Fairview Church of God of Prophecies. Mrs. Johnson thoroughly enjoyed traveling, caring for her animals and especially loved spending time and caring for her granddaughter, Leah.
Funeral Services will be held at Houston Funeral Home on January 31, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. James "Goose" Guest officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Houston Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. until service time, 2:00 P.M.
Burial will be at Georges Chapel Cemetery in Thorn, Mississippi.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her mother, Etta Johnson of Houston; her husband, Lee Smith of Houston; her son, Johnny (Krystal) Easley of Houston; her Brother, Johnny (Debra) Johnson of Houston; her sister, Kathy (Brandon) Voyles of Houston; her granddaughter, Leah Denise Easley of Sparta, and a host of nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews.
Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her father, Thomas "Sister" Johnson, one child, John Thomas and one uncle, Doodler Johnson.
